I grew up, like a lot of photographers, enjoying taking pictures. Capturing moments in time became a fascination for me. I had a few cameras through the years but usually nothing too fancy. I had a Canon T70 in the late 80’s while in the Marine Corps and took many photos during that time. I was visiting many places and doing many very cool things. After serving my time in the Corps I didn’t do much with my photography.

I had never taken photography seriously until the fall off 2005 when my son was about to be born. I had always been one of those people that would be walking somewhere or driving down the road and something would catch my attention and I would think that would make a beautiful photograph.

With the birth of my first child about to happen I invested in a good DSLR, a Canon 20D. I still have it and it is a great camera. My son lived in front of a camera for his first year of existence. Capturing that first year of life became joyous journey. Most of the images you see in my Children gallery are of my son. Cute little bugger isn’t he?
